Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will support the daily operations of the Information Centre. Your duties will include:

• Managing the circulation desk by handling book loans, renewals, and returns.
• Organizing and filing daily newspapers and journals.
• Ensuring bookshelves are neat and books are in the correct order.
• Checking that computers, printers, and copiers are working correctly.
• Helping students use computers and search the online library catalog (OPAC).
• Leading workshops to help students improve their information literacy skills.
• Updating notice boards and creating educational displays.
• Providing administrative support, such as photocopying and preparing subject guides.
• Maintaining a clean and professional environment within the Information Centre.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s Degree in Library and Information Science.
• Experience: At least 1 year of working experience in a relevant field, preferably within an academic library or information center.
• Skills: Strong computer skills and the ability to assist students with technology and research.
