Role Overview

We are looking for a professional and dedicated Assistant Unit Leader to join our team in Arcadia, Pretoria. This is a full-time position focused on providing excellent patient care, supervising staff, and ensuring the smooth operation of our dialysis unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform dialysis treatments safely and according to clinical procedures.
  • Provide high-quality patient care following professional nursing standards.
  • Supervise and lead the team during your shift.
  • Maintain and manage medical equipment according to technical guidelines.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date clinical records for all patients.
  • Monitor unit finances, including billing, stock management, and waste control.
  • Ensure all health and safety standards are met within the unit.
  • Promote the core values and caring culture of National Renal Care.

Requirements and Experience

  • A relevant qualification in a specialist medical area (NQF Level 7).
  • Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse/Midwife OR registration with the HPCSA as a Clinical Technologist (Independent Practice).
  • Previous experience in renal nursing is highly recommended.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
