Purpose of the Role

The Analytics Engineer I will bridge the gap between Data Engineers and Data Analysts by transforming complex data into accessible, reliable, and performant data models and insights that drive organizational decision‑making. This role will collaborate with stakeholders to understand analytical needs, partner with Data Architects and Data Modelers to design scalable data models aligned with enterprise strategy, and design and build efficient, reproducible data assets (including data models, marts, semantic layer, working environments, etc.) along with scalable transformations and pipelines that empower Analytical Engineers and Data Analysts to deliver insights and reports quickly, consistently, and with minimal friction.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines and dashboards.
• Work with reporting tools such as Power BI.
• Design, develop, and maintain data models and data marts.
• Create semantic layer and working environments for analytical teams.
• Implement scalable transformations and ETL/ELT processes.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Modelers, and business stakeholders.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance.
• Document data models and pipelines.
• Support analytical teams with self‑service data access.

Qualifications (Minimum)

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytical, Data, or Technical field.

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Honours degree in Analytical, Data, or Technical field.

Experience

• Experience in data analytics or engineering roles.
• Hands‑on experience building data pipelines and dashboards.
• Internships or academic projects involving data pipelines or analytics tools.
• Familiarity with reporting tools such as Power BI.

Knowledge

• Basic understanding of data modeling concepts (e.g., star/snowflake schemas).
• ETL/ELT processes.
• Data warehousing technologies (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift).
• Version control tools such as Git.
