Bridge the gap between Data Engineers and Data Analysts by turning complex data into reliable, accessible data models and insights that drive decision‑making. Work with stakeholders to understand analytical needs, collaborate with Data Architects and Data Modelers, and design scalable data models that align with the company’s strategy.
Key Responsibilities - Design and build efficient, repeatable data assets such as data models, data marts, semantic layers and development environments.
- Create scalable transformations and pipelines that enable Analytic Engineers and Data Analysts to deliver insights and reports quickly, consistently and with minimal friction.
- Apply engineering principles to produce production‑ready reports and analytics.
- Ensure data quality, governance and compliance standards are met.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks and orchestration tools such as Airflow or Prefect. - Lead projects and deliver scalable data solutions.
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience in analytics engineering or a related role, with a proven record of delivering scalable data solutions and leading projects.
- Experience with CI/CD, testing frameworks and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow).
- Ability to productionise reports using engineering principles.
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytical, Data, Technical or a related field (required). An Honours degree in a similar field is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of data modelling best practices, data governance and quality assurance, cloud data platforms and orchestration tools, and software engineering concepts such as CI/CD and testing.
- Strong analytical, communication, planning, organisational and problem‑solving skills. - Ability to work effectively with stakeholders and teams.
