Job Title: Insurance Retention Location: Century City, Western Cape, South Africa Company: Capitec Bank Ltd Date: 20 Mar 2026 Purpose: Provide accurate, compliant information and guidance on insurance products. Understand client needs, advise on optimising life insurance portfolio, deliver exceptional service, resolve queries quickly, and build long‑term loyalty. Meet service standards, achieve performance targets, engage clients in value‑led conversations, and support team effectiveness. Education (Minimum): FAIS accredited as Key Individual and approved by FSCA Regulatory Exam for Representatives (RE5) Education (Preferred): Knowledge and experience in financial servicesExperience: 2–3 years in financial services such as banking, insurance, retail, or client service environments, or internally 15–24 months at Agent I level. Client service or related experience (e.g., client care, insurance, collections) is advantageous. Experience in an environment driven by Service Level Agreements, quality standards, and performance targets. Ability to conduct needs‑based, value‑led conversations, work with client segmentation and profiling, identify opportunities, and manage full follow‑through. Executing the following in the workplace: - Conduct needs‑based, value‑led client conversations (not script‑only) - Work with client segmentation and profiling to tailor offers, advice, and engagement - Identify and convert opportunities (cross‑sell, up‑sell, retention) - Follow‑through: log, track, and close client actions end‑to‑end - Customer‑centric mindset focusing on client retention and long‑term loyalty Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of client interaction and relationship management practices and principles Understanding of client management information, systems and tools Understanding of conflict management principles Deep knowledge of insurance products Consultative/needs‑based selling Active listening, questioning, empathy, and rapport building Personalisation using profile, preferences, and history Skills: Analytical skills Attention to detailChange management skills Communication skills Interpersonal and relationship management skills Problem‑solving skillsProject management skills (methodology specific) Additional Information: Clear criminal and credit record Capitec is committed to diversity and, where feasible, all appointments will support the achievement of our employment equity goals.
