Purpose: Provide strategic technical direction and manage multiple technical teams. Oversee the full product lifecycle, including features, support, maintenance, efficiency, optimisation, innovation, and people development.

Key Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Information Technology (Computer Science) – required.
• Honours degree in Commerce or Information Technology (Computer Science) – preferred.

Knowledge Required:

• Functional knowledge of banking products (e.g., Credit, App).
• People management and development practices.
• Stakeholder management.
• Budgeting and accounting principles.
• Business analysis and design.
• Project management principles and methodologies.

Ideal Knowledge:

• Experience in the banking industry.
• Background in central collections.
• Familiarity with Capitec Bank systems and business model.
• Understanding of agile development principles.
• Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
