About the role

The Decision Engineer will design and implement automated decision systems that turn analytical models and business rules into scalable, production‑ready logic. You will work at the intersection of data science and engineering, building and optimizing decision flows that use real‑time data and predictive models to deliver consistent, explainable outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and deploy decision models and workflows.
• Integrate real‑time data and predictive models into decision logic.
• Ensure performance, reliability, and governance of decision solutions.
• Collaborate with decision scientists, data engineers, and business analysts.
• Monitor and improve decision system performance.

What we are looking for

• At least 6 years of experience in engineering (software, data, ML/AI, analytics) or in a data science/decision science role.
• A master’s degree or higher.
• Experience with credit bureaus is preferred.
• Proficiency in Python or C#, SQL, REST API, and JSON.
• Hands‑on experience with a decisioning platform such as SAS Viya Decision Manager, Drools, IBM ODM, Pega, or similar.
• Experience with cloud platforms – AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to integrate systems using API gateways, Postman, and microservices architecture.
• Knowledge of automation and CI/CD tools – Jenkins, GitHub, Docker, Kubernetes.
• Testing skills with frameworks such as NUnit/xUnit or PyTest and regression harnesses for decision logic.
• Experience with monitoring tools – Grafana, Prometheus, or custom dashboards.
