Job Opportunity: Cleaner (Vhembe West)

The Limpopo Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (LDARD) is committed to supporting the agricultural sector by managing resources effectively to meet government goals. We are currently seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Cleaner in Vhembe West.

Position Overview

This is a full-time role focused on maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment within our department offices and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize offices, storerooms, corridors, elevators, and boardrooms.
• Dust furniture, remove waste, and ensure water is provided during meetings.
• Wash windows, walls, and kitchen utensils.
• Clean and maintain office equipment and cleaning machinery.
• Scrub toilets and polish office floors.
• Vacuum carpets and floors.
• Ensure restrooms are stocked with necessary supplies, such as toilet paper.
• Maintain an inventory of cleaning materials and ensure equipment is kept in good working order.

Requirements

• Grade 10 or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
• Previous experience in a cleaning or janitorial role is an advantage.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor.

• Basic Literacy: Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with cleaning products, materials, and the operation of cleaning equipment.
• Interpersonal Skills: A positive attitude, good communication skills, and the ability to work well within a team.

• Safety Awareness: Understanding of health and safety measures and workplace procedures.
