Requirements

• Senior Certificate (Grade 12).
• A Diploma or Degree in General Nursing accredited with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Current registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwife.
• Minimum of four (4) years of appropriate experience in nursing after registering as a Professional Nurse.
• A post-basic nursing qualification (at least 1 year long) in ICU or Critical Care Science will be an added advantage.

Core Skills and Competencies

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
• Proven supervisory and teaching abilities.
• Knowledge of the Uniform Patient Fees Schedule (UPFS).
• Understanding of the Medical Schemes Act, including the Chronic Disease List (CDL) and Prescribed Minimum Benefit (PMB) legislation.
• Experience with ICD-10 coding and the ability to link patient diagnoses with procedure codes is preferred.
