Job Requirements

• Education: Grade 12 (Senior Certificate) plus a Degree or Diploma in General Nursing accredited by the SANC.
• Professional Registration: Must be registered with the SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwife.
• Specialty: A post-basic nursing qualification (at least 1 year) in ICU or Critical Care Science is an added advantage.
• Experience: A minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Professional Nurse after registering with the SANC.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with the Uniform Patient Fees Schedule (UPFS), Medical Schemes Act, and Prescribed Minimum Benefits (PMB).
• Coding Skills: Experience in ICD10 coding and the ability to link patient diagnoses with procedure codes.
• Core Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work independently, prioritize tasks, and supervise/teach others.
