Credit Intelligence Analyst I Location: Stellenbosch, South Africa Company: Capitec Bank Ltd Posted: 11 March 2026 Purpose To improve credit intelligence performance and reduce credit risk by providing quantitative analysis, insight, and decision support for the business. Key Responsibilities - Conduct complex quantitative data analysis independently and deliver reports that support business decisions. - Develop and implement solutions based on analytical findings. - Work with senior team members to design and build new statistical models that guide credit decisions. - Use SQL, diagnostic analytics, statistical modelling, and data visualisation to analyse retail credit data. - Present findings and insights to stakeholders through clear reports and presentations. Experience Required Minimum: - 2 to 4 years of experience in retail credit analysis, including SQL programming, diagnostic analytics, statistical modelling, and data visualisation. - If you hold an Honours degree, 1 to 3 years of relevant experience is acceptable. Ideal: - Experience specific to the credit portfolio. - Prior experience with Capitec Bank. Qualifications Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Statistics. Ideal: Relevant postgraduate qualification in Finance or Statistics. Skills - Strong communication and presentation abilities. - Ability to produce clear, concise reports. - Data visualisation and reporting skills.
