Job Opportunity: Driver (Heavy Duty Vehicle)

The Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness provides public healthcare services to the Western Cape province. We are currently seeking a reliable Heavy Duty Vehicle Driver to support our mobile medical teams.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a mobile dental unit within the Cape Winelands District. In addition to driving, you will manage administrative tasks related to the dental bus operations and transport employees and goods as needed.

Requirements

• Education: Basic literacy and numeracy.
• Licensing: A valid Code C1 driver’s license and a Professional Driving Permit (PDP) are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely drive the mobile dental unit across various sub-districts.
• Transport staff and goods efficiently.
• Complete administrative paperwork and functions related to the dental bus.
• Ensure the vehicle is well-maintained and operated according to regulations.
