About the Company

Motus Aftermarket Parts (MAP) is a leader in the automotive replacement parts industry. We distribute high-quality automotive components, DIY products, and leisure travel accessories across all leading brands. We are currently looking for a dedicated Motorbike Driver to join our Alert Afinta team in East London.

Role Overview

As a Motorbike Driver, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods. You will play a vital role in our logistics chain, making sure all delivery procedures are followed strictly and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct thorough inspections of the motorbike before departure and upon return. Report any mechanical issues immediately and ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained.
• Parcel Management: Check all parcels with the supervisor before loading. Ensure all goods match the dispatch list according to company procedures.
• Deliveries: Follow designated route schedules and trip sheets to deliver parcels to customers.
• Documentation: Manage Proof of Delivery (POD) procedures, ensuring all documents are signed correctly and returned to the POD clerk daily.
• Reporting: Communicate any delivery delays or customer issues to the Dispatch Supervisor immediately.

Requirements

• Education: Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
• Experience: At least 3 years of professional delivery experience.
• Licensing: A valid motorcycle license with a professional driving permit (PDP) is essential.
• Skills: Strong time management and clear communication skills.
• Personal Attributes: You must be honest, show integrity, and have sober habits.
• Compliance: A clear criminal record is required.
• Resilience: Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
