Job Opportunity: Finance & Admin Clerk

Position Overview

As a Finance and Admin Clerk, you will be responsible for processing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and reconciling accounts. You will also assist with budgeting and reporting to ensure our finance department operates efficiently and remains compliant with all policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Generate statements for insurance policies and hand them over to the creditors department.
• Calculate and process payments for third-party suppliers accurately and on time.
• Allocate payments against creditor accounts.
• Prepare financial journals and reconcile third-party sub-ledgers.
• Ensure all insurance policies are loaded correctly before the end of the month.
• Resolve any queries related to policy loading.
• Check and complete sales files for management sign-off.
• Process cancellations within three days of receiving a request.

Requirements

• Education: Matric (National Senior Certificate) plus a Certificate or Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 2 to 3 years in a finance or administrative role within the short-term insurance industry.
• Certifications: Bookkeeping certifications (such as Basic Accounting or Pastel) are highly beneficial.
