Forensic Investigator (Insurance) – Capitec Bank Ltd, Century City, Western Cape, South Africa

Purpose:
Under the guidance of the investigations manager, you will investigate cases of risk related to fraud incidents, including claims fraud for Capitec Insurance. Your work will cover internal fraud, serious breaches of policies and procedures, and criminal syndicates. You will examine the matter, the parties involved, and provide evidence for disciplinary hearings or criminal proceedings. You will also identify control weaknesses and recommend preventive measures, improvements, and training initiatives to reduce fraud risk.
Experience Required:
Minimum: 3 plus years as a Forensic Investigator or Auditor.
Ideal: Proven experience as a Forensic Investigator or Auditor in the financial services sector.
Qualifications (Minimum):
A relevant tertiary qualification in Forensics.
Knowledge (Minimum):
- Investigation methods and procedures
- Criminal law and the law of evidence in the judicial process
Ideal Knowledge:
- Fraud and misrepresentation in the insurance industry
