About the Position

Langeberg Municipality is looking for a qualified and experienced professional to fill the role of Manager: Electrical Engineering Services. This is a re-advertisement for a leadership position responsible for managing the municipality's electrical infrastructure and engineering department.

Minimum Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (NQF Level 7).
• Eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng).
• A valid Government Certificate of Competency (GCC).
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
• A valid Code B driver’s license.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily operations of the electrical engineering section.
• Oversee and manage the department’s budget and financial planning.
• Supervise personnel and manage departmental administration.
• Plan, manage, and supervise capital projects and infrastructure development.
• Monitor the performance of external contractors.
• Ensure effective vehicle and resource control within the department.
• Collaborate with other departments and provide regular reports to the Director.
