About the Position

The Mpumalanga Department of Health is looking for a dedicated Nursing Manager to join the Child Health (DCST) team. Our department is committed to improving the quality of life for the people of Mpumalanga by providing equitable, people-centered healthcare through a network of skilled professionals.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Senior Certificate.
• A Basic Nursing qualification (Diploma or Degree) accredited with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• Current registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse.
• A tertiary qualification in Health Sciences (a degree in Public Health is preferred).
• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in nursing after registering as a Professional Nurse.
• At least five (5) years of experience in a management role within Child Health Services.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Basic computer literacy.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

• Post-basic qualifications in Child Health, Nursing Education, or Nursing Administration will be an advantage.
• In-depth knowledge of MCWH, CARMMA, PMTCT, and ESMOE programs.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• The ability to perform well and remain professional under pressure.
