About the Role

The Mpumalanga Department of Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled Nursing Manager to join our Primary Health Care (PHC) team. Our goal is to provide equitable, high-quality, and people-centered healthcare to the community through a network of skilled health professionals.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Senior Certificate (Grade 12) plus a Diploma or Degree in Nursing (accredited with SANC).
• Registration: Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
• Experience: A minimum of ten (10) years of nursing experience after registering with SANC. At least five (5) of those years must be in a management role within Primary Health Care.
• Licensing: A valid driver’s license is required.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer literacy to assist with administrative duties and service delivery.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

• Familiarity with health programs such as MCWH, CARMMA, PMTCT, and ESMOE.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• The ability to perform well and remain calm under pressure.
• Additional qualifications in Nursing Education, Administration, or Primary Health Care will be considered an advantage.
