Role Overview

We are looking for a dedicated and professional Optical Assistant to join our team in the Somerset West area. This is a full-time position ideal for someone with industry experience who is passionate about eye care and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers with selecting frames and choosing the best lens options based on their style and needs.
• Perform preliminary eye tests and measurements under the guidance of an experienced optometrist.
• Manage inventory and ensure that eyewear displays are clean, organized, and professionally presented.
• Provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries and ensuring a smooth experience for every patient.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
• Fluency in both English and Afrikaans.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable personal transport.
• Previous experience within the optical industry is required.
