Job Overview

• Position: General Assistant
• Location: Bergville, KwaZulu-Natal
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Minimum Education: Matric (Grade 12)

Role Purpose

The General Assistant is responsible for providing excellent service to our customers and ensuring the store operates efficiently. You will support the management team by maintaining high standards of merchandise presentation and helping the store reach its sales goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in reaching daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
• Provide friendly and professional service to all customers.
• Ensure the store is tidy, well-stocked, and organized.
• Help with stockroom administration, including markdowns and lay-bys.
• Implement store layouts and department displays effectively.
• Protect company assets, including stock and equipment.
• Follow all company policies and procedures accurately.

Requirements

• A valid Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
• Previous experience in a retail or sales environment is preferred.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to work well as part of a team.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment.
• High levels of integrity and initiative.
