P40 Sales Assistant – Umlazi Mega City

Pepkor Speciality is a significant division within Africa’s largest retail footprint, supporting many of the continent’s most trusted fashion and footwear brands. We are currently looking for a professional and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team at Umlazi Mega City.

Role Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and helping the store achieve its sales goals. You will support the management team with daily operations, ensure merchandise is presented attractively, and maintain a high standard of service for our shoppers.

Key Responsibilities

• Work toward meeting daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
• Deliver high-quality service to every customer.
• Ensure the store is well-stocked, tidy, and visually appealing.
• Protect company assets, including stock, cash, and equipment.
• Follow all company policies and administrative procedures correctly.
• Assist with stockroom organization, mark-downs, and lay-by processing.
• Maintain a safe and professional shopping environment for staff and customers.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
• Previous experience in retail or sales is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Basic computer literacy.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A high level of integrity and the ability to handle a fast-paced retail environment.
