About the Role

OR Tambo District Municipality is seeking five dedicated Process Controllers to join our team. This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Drinking Water Plant Supervisor. The successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality drinking water and managing processing activities within the district.

Please note that this role includes a probationary period of 3 to 12 months, and the incumbent will be required to sign a performance plan.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12) or NQF Level 3 qualification in Water Care or Purification.
• A valid Certificate in Computer Literacy.
• A valid Code EB Driving License.
• At least 2 years of experience in a water care environment, specifically within the public sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise activities to ensure effective and safe drinking water quality.
• Manage water processing operations throughout the district.
• Oversee staff training and performance within the sub-section.
• Assist with budget planning and monitor expenditures to stay within approved allocations.
• Handle administrative duties and prepare necessary reports.
• Engage with stakeholders and manage communication regarding water services.
