Job Purpose

The primary goal of this role is to safeguard Rand Water employees, visitors, and assets. You will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment while providing professional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage access and exit points (access/egress control).
• Conduct regular security patrols across the premises.
• Identify and report security breaches or related incidents.
• Perform detailed security inspections.
• Enforce all company security procedures and protocols.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12) Certificate.
• Valid PSIRA Grade C registration.
• SAPS-issued Firearm Competency Certificate for both Handgun and Shotgun.
• At least 2 years of experience working in a security environment.
• A valid Code B driver’s license (must be able to pass the internal Rand Water K53 test).
• Basic computer literacy.
• An NKP Certificate will be considered an advantage.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Security Expertise: Experience in patrolling, guarding, and access control.
• Legal Knowledge: Understanding of relevant security legislation and basic investigation techniques.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Personal Attributes: Ability to handle pressure, manage conflict, and maintain self-discipline.
• Service-Oriented: A positive attitude with a focus on customer service and motivation.
