Job Overview

• Annual Salary: R 405,175.50 – R 525,942.27 (excluding benefits)
• Location: Mthatha, Eastern Cape
• Job Type: Full-Time
• Reports to: Senior Research: Council Support

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

• A Grade 12 certificate.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration or a similar field.
• A valid Code EB driver’s license.
• At least 2 years of experience in relevant policy research.

Key Responsibilities

As a Research Council Officer, your duties will include:

• Assisting with the section's strategic and operational planning.
• Researching and analyzing departmental performance and spending.
• Investigating best practices to ensure municipal projects provide good value for money.
• Monitoring budget allocations and assisting with capital and operating estimates.
• Supporting stakeholder management and communication efforts within research services.
• Coordinating administrative tasks and preparing detailed reports.
