Purpose:
To facilitate Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) training and development in line with industry standards, while remaining current with best practices in education, training, and SHE legislation.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare for training sessions, including development of training materials and ensuring all required equipment is functional.
- Deliver training at an appropriate level, considering learners’ existing knowledge, skills, and potential learning barriers (e.g., language, cultural and socio-economic factors).
- Facilitate training in accordance with SAQA, SETA, NOSA, and QCTO requirements, as well as internal Quality Management Systems.
- Conduct assessments and moderation in line with SETA/NOSA codes of conduct.
- Provide structured, confidential feedback to learners aligned with quality assurance requirements.
- Compile and manage Portfolios of Evidence (PoE) in line with assessment guidelines and QMS standards.
- Promote NOSA offerings by engaging with clients, responding to queries, and identifying business opportunities during training sessions.
- Participate in ongoing professional development (seminars, courses, etc.) to stay updated on SHE and ETD best practices.
- Maintain valid Assessor and Moderator registrations with relevant SETAs and submit proof to the Training Manager.
- Ensure full compliance with the NOSA Quality Management System.
