About EPMM – Merchant division
As a sales executive in the Merchant division, you will have an opportunity to join a team of a leading Fintech provider to merchants operating in the formal economy. Sales executives are responsible for prospecting and converting sales for the EPMM best-in-class fintech terminal, that provides merchants the ability to accept card payments and the opportunity to increase their revenue through selling a wide selection of value-added services (VAS) electronic vouchers such electricity, airtime, sports betting and more. They are disciplined self-led individuals demonstrating ethics in time management and commitment to exploring, investing and managing a growing customer sales pipeline. They are progressive individuals prioritising on-going learning of the Lesaka product ecosystem to better sell, up-sell, or cross sell solutions to merchants.
Requirements
The successful candidate will consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets through a results-driven approach. They will understand client requirements and recommend the most suitable products for their business needs. They will provide accurate sales forecasts and maintain an up-to-date status on outstanding opportunities. They will proactively offer best practice solutions to management for sales challenges and opportunities. They will ensure contracts are processed accurately and efficiently to maintain seamless operations. They will have the ability to install devices, ensuring product functionality and customer satisfaction. They will build relationships and engage with informal vendors to expand our market presence. They will identify and establish new business areas to drive growth and increase market share. They will ensure our products are available and visible, driving increased awareness and sales. They will collaborate with the sales team to identify cross-selling opportunities and tailor proposals to maximize sales potential.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (preferred but not required). They possess proven sales experience in a technical or product-driven environment, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. They demonstrate technical proficiency with the ability to install and troubleshoot devices. They have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build relationships with clients, vendors, and team members. They exhibit strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to sales challenges. They have experience in customer needs analysis and tailoring product recommendations to meet business objectives. They are proficient in sales forecasting, CRM software, Sales Force and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). They hold a valid driver’s license and are willing to travel as needed.
