Job Purpose

As a Senior Analyst for Business Systems, you will provide expert advice and support to help implement operational plans. Your role involves providing governance and analysis for large-scale projects and smaller initiatives, including automation testing. You will use your industry experience to improve service delivery and ensure all processes meet high standards.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must meet one of the following educational and experience criteria:

• Option 1: A National Diploma or Advanced Certificate (NQF 6) in Information Technology, plus 3 to 4 years of experience in Release Management or Business Analysis within a complex systems environment.
• Option 2: A Senior Certificate (Matric - NQF 4) plus 6 years of experience in Release Management.

Additional Functional Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience working with VAT, PAYE, UIF, SDL, ETI, or Income Tax.
• Proven experience in writing functional specifications.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, your daily tasks will include:

• Acting as a bridge between internal departments and external development partners.
• Gathering information and providing detailed reports with recommendations for your area of expertise.
• Identifying trends, potential risks, and violations of standard procedures.
• Compiling functional requirements and prioritizing system change requests.
• Planning and managing data for automated testing and identifying scenarios for automation.
• Investigating system queries and defects to find root causes and workarounds.
• Providing education and training to system end-users.
• Maintaining and supporting both new and existing business applications.
• Ensuring all work follows set governance and compliance procedures.

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Business IT systems and IT Business Analysis.
• Proficiency in computer literacy and report writing.
• Understanding of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and efficiency improvement.
