Job Purpose

The Senior Specialist will provide expert SAP technology solutions and advice. This role focuses on improving business practices by translating tactical plans into operational systems, ensuring the organization uses SAP FICA effectively.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet one of the following combinations of education and experience:

• Option 1: Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma (NQF 7) in IT, Finance, or Engineering with 8–10 years of experience in an SAP FICA environment.
• Option 2: Diploma (NQF 6) with at least 10 years of experience in an SAP FICA environment.
• Option 3: Senior Certificate (NQF 4) with at least 15 years of experience in an SAP FICA environment.

All candidates must have at least 3–4 years of experience at a junior specialist level.

Functional Skills and Expertise

• Extensive experience in SAP FICA module analysis, design, and configuration.
• SAP FICA functional training or certification (e.g., SAP Finance).
• Advantageous: Experience with SAP PSCD, TRM, or BRF+.
• Advantageous: Exposure to S4/HANA, Fiori Applications, NWBC, and SAP integration solutions like IDOCs or oData.

Key Responsibilities

Process & Technical Execution:

• Manage complex tasks during the implementation and maintenance of SAP modules.
• Transform functional requirements into detailed technical designs.
• Analyze current business processes and recommend SAP solutions to improve performance.
• Troubleshoot and solve critical SAP functional problems.
• Lead production release deployments and system maintenance.

Governance & People:

• Develop compliance policies to manage risk within your area of expertise.
• Mentor team members and share specialized knowledge to build internal skills.
• Work closely with stakeholders to provide expert advice and improve service delivery.

Finance:

• Monitor costs and implement financial controls within your department.
