We are currently looking for a motivated Shop Assistant Cashier to join our team in Hartebeespoort, North West.

Role Purpose

The main goal of this position is to provide excellent customer service at the point of sale, manage stock through merchandising, and ensure every customer has a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle point-of-sale (POS) transactions quickly and accurately.
• Scan merchandise and process payments securely.
• Promote the Clicks Clubcard program and help customers sign up for rewards.
• Inform customers about current promotions and special offers.
• Provide friendly and professional service as a brand ambassador.
• Keep the store neat and tidy by following merchandising and housekeeping standards.
• Stay updated on product information and store events to assist customers effectively.

Requirements

Education:

• Grade 12 (Matric) is essential.
• A minimum of 50% in Mathematics and English at the Grade 12 level is preferred.

Experience:

• Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment is an advantage.

Skills and Knowledge

• Basic math and numeracy skills.
• Understanding of retail and stock management procedures.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Basic computer literacy.
• The ability to follow instructions and work well under pressure.
• A friendly personality with a focus on helping people.
