Job Opportunity: Shop Assistant / Cashier (2 Positions)

Introduction

Clicks Group is a leading retail healthcare and beauty group with over 840 stores across southern Africa. We are looking for energetic and service-oriented individuals to join our team at Clicks Nelspruit Plaza as Shop Assistants and Cashiers. Your goal will be to provide excellent customer service, manage point-of-sale activities, and ensure the store is well-merchandised.

Main Job Objectives

• Handle point-of-sale transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Scan merchandise and process payments securely, including Clubcard rewards.
• Promote the Clicks Clubcard program and help customers sign up.
• Inform customers about current promotions to help them "feel good and pay less."
• Provide friendly and professional service as a brand ambassador.
• Maintain store standards by assisting with merchandising and general housekeeping.
• Stay updated on product knowledge and store events to provide accurate information to shoppers.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Essential: Grade 12 (Matric).
• Desirable: At least 50% in Maths and English at the Grade 12 level.
• Desirable: Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Basic math and numeracy skills.
• Understanding of retail, merchandising, and stock management.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to solve problems and organize daily tasks.
