Role Purpose

The main goal of this role is to provide excellent customer service at the till and on the shop floor. You will be responsible for handling sales accurately, assisting customers with their needs, and ensuring the store is well-merchandised and clean.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle point-of-sale (POS) transactions quickly and accurately.
• Scan merchandise and collect payments while ensuring cash safety.
• Promote the Clicks ClubCard program and help new members sign up.
• Inform customers about current store promotions and deals.
• Provide friendly, professional service to every customer.
• Help with merchandising, shelf packing, and general cleaning to keep the store looking its best.
• Stay updated on product information and store events to provide correct advice to shoppers.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

• Essential: Grade 12 (Matric) certificate.
• Desirable: 50% or higher in Mathematics and English at the Grade 12 level.
• Desirable: Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing environment.

Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong basic math and numeracy skills.
• Clear communication and good people skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Ability to solve problems and organize daily tasks.
• An understanding of retail operations and stock management.
