About the Role
The Technician Specialist role at VW Vereeniging focuses on providing technical support and service excellence for Volkswagen vehicles. Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed diagnostics on vehicles to identify technical issues and recommend solutions.
- Execute repairs and maintenance according to VW specifications, ensuring quality and efficiency.
- Collaborate with service advisors and other team members to provide a seamless customer experience.
- Maintain accurate records of service work and repairs in the dealership management system.
- Stay updated with the latest service procedures and technical bulletins from VW.
- Assist in training junior technicians and provide mentorship to enhance team skills.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while working in the service area.
- Contribute to a positive work environment by proactively engaging in team initiatives and discussions.

Requirements
- Proven experience in automotive servicing, particularly within a dealership environment or with VW vehicles.
- Strong technical acumen, with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service documentation.
- Demonstrable problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to diagnose and resolve vehicle issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications
- Certification or qualification in Automotive Technology or a related field.
- Familiarity with VW diagnostic tools and software.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role within the automotive sector.
