Stock Controller - Gauteng East Region

The Stock Controller will support the Finance, Workshop, and Sales departments by managing and controlling the dealership's vehicle stock. This role involves assisting with vehicle stock counts, invoicing vehicles, issuing vehicle permits, and maintaining accurate records of vehicle inventory.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of new and used vehicle stock within the dealership management system.
  • Conduct regular vehicle stock counts and reconcile physical stock with system records.
  • Monitor vehicle stock movements, including vehicles received, sold, or transferred.
  • Report discrepancies between system stock and physical vehicles to the Accountant.
  • Assist in recording vehicle stock movements, such as vehicles received from manufacturers or transferred between dealerships.
  • Maintain proper documentation for vehicles in stock.
  • Provide support to internal customers, including technicians, service advisors, and workshop staff.
  • Support the Finance Department with administrative tasks related to vehicle inventory.
  • Adhere to dealership governance, compliance, and inventory control processes.

Minimum Requirements

  • Matric/Grade 12.
  • Diploma or Certificate in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Logistics.
  • 0–2 years of experience in administration, finance support, or stock control.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Basic understanding of stock control and financial administration.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong numerical and administrative ability.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to work in a structured dealership environment.
  • High level of integrity and accountability.
