Job Description

Position Summary

The Technical Repair Specialist will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, testing, maintenance, and quality assurance of Absen LED display panels and related equipment. The role is focused on providing professional after-sales technical support to Nology's reseller network by ensuring that faulty LED panels and components are repaired efficiently, accurately, and within agreed turnaround times.

The successful candidate will serve as the primary repair and technical resource for all Absen LED display products returned by resellers and will play a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction and reducing product downtime.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Repairs and Diagnostics

  • Diagnose faults on Absen LED display panels, receiving cards, power supplies, control systems, and associated hardware.
  • Repair defective LED modules, cabinets, power supplies, receiving cards, and control boards.
  • Conduct component-level troubleshooting and repairs where possible.
  • Replace faulty components and perform necessary firmware updates and software configurations.
  • Perform quality control inspections and functional testing following repairs.
  • Verify colour calibration, brightness consistency, and overall panel performance.
  • Conduct final testing and sign-off procedures before equipment is returned to customers.

Service Centre Operations

  • Receive and inspect returned products from resellers.
  • Record and document all faults, repairs performed, parts used, and test results.
  • Maintain accurate repair logs and service records.
  • Monitor turnaround times and ensure repairs are completed within agreed service levels.
  • Manage repair stock and spare parts inventory.
  • Escalate complex or recurring issues to Absen technical support where necessary.
  • Coordinate warranty and non-warranty repair processes.

Technical Support

  • Provide technical support and guidance to resellers regarding fault diagnosis and repair procedures.
  • Assist resellers with installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting queries.
  • Support the sales team with technical product information when required.
  • Conduct technical training sessions for resellers and internal staff on basic troubleshooting and maintenance procedures.
  • Develop technical documentation, repair procedures, and knowledge base articles.

Preventative Maintenance

  • Identify recurring product issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist in developing preventative maintenance procedures and best practices for resellers.
  • Provide recommendations for improving product reliability and reducing repair rates.

Monitor repair trends and provide feedback to management and Absen regarding common failures
