TWK Agri in Kokstad, KwaZulu-Natal, is seeking a dedicated Cashier to join our Trade division. This role is central to managing customer transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring a smooth and positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Process customer purchases by bagging, boxing, wrapping, and preparing items for shipment.
• Accurately compute and record all transaction details.
• Begin each shift by counting money in the cash drawer to verify amounts and ensure sufficient change is available.
• Sort, count, and wrap cash notes and coins.
• Determine prices of goods and calculate customer bills using calculators, cash registers, or optical scanners.
• Greet customers warmly as they enter the store.
• Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or any necessary change to customers.
• Maintain accurate records of transactions and balances periodically.
• Receive payments securely via cash or card.
• Keep the checkout area clean and well-organized at all times.
• Assist with general store duties including stocking shelves, pricing items, and conducting stock takes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Completed Grade 12 / Matriculation.
• Proficient with computers.
• Previous experience working as a cashier.
• Comfort handling money and handling cash transactions.
• Strong ability to interact positively with customers.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication.
