Role Description

We are looking for a reliable individual to join our team as a General Assistant in Vhembe Central. This role is essential for maintaining our facilities and ensuring the smooth movement of goods and equipment within the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general manual labor and assistant tasks.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the premises and surrounding areas.
• Ensure gardening equipment is well-maintained and stored safely.
• Move furniture and office equipment as required.
• Collect and remove garbage and empty boxes.
• Assist with receiving, loading, and offloading stock and goods.
• Report any damaged or missing equipment to management.

Requirements

• A minimum of ABET Level 2 or an equivalent qualification (First School Leaving Certificate).
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills (ability to read and write).
• Previous experience in a similar field is considered an advantage.

Skills and Competencies

• Knowledge of standard cleaning procedures and basic gardening principles.
• Ability to operate basic gardening tools and machinery.
