Job Summary:

Responsible for the profitable management of the silo facility in Tweeling, Free State. This role involves overseeing all operational, financial, administrative, and infrastructural aspects of the silo, ensuring compliance with VKB Group policies and regulations while maximizing efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Continuously monitor grain flow and movement.
• Implement and maintain grain protection protocols, including fumigation.
• Regularly monitor grain tube temperatures and report any deviations to superiors.
• Conduct grain tube measurements strictly according to policy and safety regulations.
• Manage input trade duties related to grain handling.
• Operate the silo facility in full compliance with VKB Group policies and regulations.
• Oversee inventory management processes.
• Handle financial and administrative management tasks.
• Manage silo infrastructure and maintenance requirements.
• Provide general management oversight of silo operations.
• Deliver excellent customer service to stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4 qualification.
• Completion of the New Manager's Program (or equivalent relevant training).
• Proven management experience in the grain industry, specifically within a silo or similar facility, ranging from 3 to 5 years.
• Essential completion of all relevant grain grading and silo operating certification courses.
• Demonstrated ability to consistently add value by achieving organizational, operational, and strategic goals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
