Job Description

JOB TITLE                       :    Warehouse Inventory Coordinator

Department                    :    Operations – Planning & Inventory

Reporting to                   :    Warehouse Inventory Controller

Direct reports                :    TBC 

Key customers              :    Warehouse teams, Planning team, Supply Chain, Retail Operations, Inventory Controllers

Main purpose                  :    The Warehouse Inventory Coordinator supports the Warehouse Inventory Controller by executing inventory control activities, monitoring stock movements, supporting reconciliations and ensuring accurate execution of inventory processes.

This role focuses on operational execution of inventory controls including stock checks, variance investigations, reporting preparation and coordination with warehouse teams to maintain inventory accuracy standards.

The role ensures strong day-to-day inventory discipline and supports accurate stock records across systems

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY 1: INVENTORY CONTROL EXECUTION

  • Execute daily inventory monitoring activities
  • Support cycle counts and stock checks
  • Investigate stock discrepancies
  • Track stock adjustments
  • Monitor stock movements
  • Support reconciliation activities
  • Ensure correct stock booking processes

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY 2: INVENTORY REPORTING SUPPORT

  • Prepare inventory reports
  • Maintain stock tracking files
  • Maintain variance trackers
  • Update inventory control records
  • Support reporting preparation
  • Provide stock movement reports
KEY ACCOUNTABILITY 3:  WAREHOUSE COORDINATION
  • Liaise with warehouse on discrepancies
  • Follow up investigation outcomes
  • Coordinate stock verification
  • Support inbound checks
  • Support returns verification
  • Track damaged stock processes

KEY ACCOUNTABILITY 4:PROCESS COMPLIANCE

  • Ensure inventory SOP compliance
  • Support inventory audits
  • Maintain inventory documentation
  • Ensure control processes followed
  • Escalate risks to Controller
  • Support governance processes

Requirements

The minimum education and experience requirements that are required to be considered
Education 
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or Administration
Experience
  • 1 - 2 years’ experience in a warehouse, distribution centre, or inventory-related role.
  • Exposure to:
  • Inventory control or stock administration
  • Stock counts, reconciliations, or warehouse processes
  • Experience working in a structured operational environment with defined processes and controls
  • Advanced Excel ability
Industry Knowledge
  • Basic understanding of warehouse inventory processes, including stock movements, cycle counts, and variance investigation.
  • Awareness of the importance of inventory accuracy and system-to-physical stock alignment.
  • Familiarity with ERP or warehouse systems (SAP or similar) at a transactional level.
  • Basic understanding of how warehouse inventory supports planning, fulfilment, and retail operations.
