Our Warehouse Department at our Tea Plant Site is currently looking for vibrant, honest, reliable, and motivated individuals to join their team.
Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):
- Supervision of warehouse staff includes:
- Ensure warehouse activities are conducted in an efficient manner, and staff are assigned to tasks to optimize production output
- Mentor and provide on the job training to staff.
- Assisting with disciplinary and timekeeping issues with staff
- Control production jobs and associated materials and equipment
- Liaise with production supervisor on planned jobs availability.
- Ensure that all transactions are processed accurately through the Translution system.
- Ensure that stock physically in WIP matches stock issued to jobs
- Ensure that jobs issued to production are checked for completeness of all components prior to going into production.
- Ensure that job materials are accurate according to packaging specifications and that additional material requests are expedited.
- Follow up regularly and feedback on the status of part produced jobs.
- Process the receiving of raw materials and packaging.
- Process production returns to warehouse
- Verify daily, monthly and weekly documentation
- Manage cycle counts, as directed by management.
- Report to maintenance regarding repair requirements and following up on completion of work.
- Ensure departmental record keeping is maintained.
- Housekeeping, health, and safety environment are up to date.
- Making sure BRC / Food Safety is enforced and implemented.
Requirements:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Forklift/Stacker License (advantageous)
- Ability to independently lift a bag of 30kg
- Ability to use a computer to access information on the company’s network as well as the ability to use Microsoft Excel and Outlook (advantageous)
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
- Good timekeeping and attendance
- Able to work shifts and overtime as and when required
